Students managed to raise £1,500 for charity by holding a 24-hour fast.

People of all faiths joined the Islamic Society at the University of Leicester for its fund-raising Ramadan fast.

The money will be going to four charities - Human Appeal International, The Prince's Trust, Target 2015 and Cancer Research.
